Can I use my own observation forms in Observe?
Yes – you can create as many as you like and name them however you wish. Many schools start their set up by replicating their current templates in the application, ready for observers to use.
We don’t use the standard Ofsted gradings of 1 to 4. Can we set up our own set of grades in SISRA Observe?
Yes. Schools can decide on their own set of grades or judgements – we call these Outcome Sets. Up to ten individual outcomes can be included within an Outcome Set and you can create as many as you like for a range of purposes and templates.
Our school has moved away from grading lesson observations altogether. Can SISRA Observe handle this?
Yes. Schools can adapt the service to suit their own observation style, including designing fields and templates which do not grade whole lessons or aspects of teaching.
Can I carry out joint observations?
Yes. You can add up to five observers to a lesson observation record which allows easy collaboration and sharing.
Are different access levels available?
Yes. Observe has a flexible permissions tree for each member of staff which allows administrators to assign access at faculty, subject and individual staff level. Administrators can also block off specific areas of the service to individuals or groups of users.
