After a decline in her school’s results, Emma’s eye for data resulted in the school creating a new post of Curriculum and Data Manager for her, which included the setting up and managing of data and assessment systems for Years 7 to 13. She quickly recognised that SISRA Analytics would be an invaluable tool for staff, became an expert in the use of SIMS, and successfully completed the SSAT National Data Managers Award.

Emma encouraged and trained staff in the effective use of both SIMS and SISRA Analytics, not just at her own school, but within the large multi academy trust when her school’s model was rolled out to other schools. She promoted the use of data and also wrote her own school’s target setting policies. Even Ofsted recognised that ‘The availability and use of school information has improved dramatically’.

Before joining SISRA, Emma was thoroughly involved through hosting DataMeets and acting as a guru at training events. Her love of helping others in the use of systems and data led to her joining the Consultancy Team at SISRA in July 2016.

“Emma was very patient with me and answered any questions I had – though there weren’t many as she had pre-empted a lot of what I was going to ask. Emma is a credit to SISRA – as are all the consultants!”
